Children have a tough time growing up. Some children have a much rougher time than others because some of the adults (and sometimes other children) in their lives do not understand the hurt they can inflict with their own unresolved and out-of-control anger. Damage is not always physical, as what we say is often as hurtful and violent as our actions can be. Nor is abuse limited to children. We are all vulnerable to the insensitivities of others, just as we are all capable of inflicting pain in a careless moment. |
