Weapons have been used for millennia to wage war, creating hardship and misery for people.  Here the stern portrait of Somalia's recent dictator, Siad Barre, is surrounded by the bodies of dead children, who were the ultimate sacrifice of this war.  Implements of destruction, seen in the border, were stockpiled by Barre.  Given to him in political courtship by the governments of the U.S.A. and the U.S.S.R., they were subsequently used for the ravaging of his own country and people.
